Use our Tuition Estimator (2025-2026) to see how affordable your degree could be. Slide the notch to the number of credits you've already earned—which may qualify for transfer credit—to get an estimate of what your remaining degree might cost. This estimate is for tuition and fees only for the Online Campus Only. This estimate does not include housing, food, books, supplies, or costs of living. For a better calculation of your true cost, please visit MSU Student Financial Aid, use their TrueCost Calculator tool, and contact them for more guidance.
BAS Degree Requirements: Our Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree requires 120 total credits. Use the slider to see your estimated cost based on how many transfer credits you bring in—the more credits you transfer, the fewer you'll need to complete at MSU.
Current Online Tuition Rates (Fall 2025/Spring 2026):
- 1-11 credit hours: $460.75 per credit hour
- 12-16 credit hours: $5,227.00 flat rate per semester
- Over 16 credit hours: Additional overload tuition at $460.75 per credit hour
Save Money with Full-Time Enrollment: Students who enroll full-time can complete their remaining degree requirements at a significantly lower total cost. For example, a student with no transfer credits taking 15 credit hours per semester for 4 semesters would pay approximately $20,908 in tuition and fees, compared to taking the same 60 credit hours part-time at $460.75 per credit hour ($27,645 total).
Transcripts sent from other colleges and universities will be evaluated, and accepted credits will be added to the student's MSU record after consulting with your advisor at Mississippi State. The Tuition Estimator is not a guarantee or predictor of the number of credit hours that will be accepted.
Scholarships and other financial aid options (MTAG, MESG, PTK, Community College Transfer, Military) will reduce this total tuition and fees cost for the hours you will need to earn a BAS degree.
