Thanks to the BAS program, I was able to start a rewarding career as a Special Education teacher and earned a Master's degree in Education.

What motivated you to enroll in MSU's Bachelor of Applied Science program, and what was your journey from admission to where you are currently?

Attending Mississippi State University has been an amazing experience for me. I had previously completed my education at a community college several years ago and pursued a career in healthcare. However, after several years, I decided it was time to make a change.

I wanted to pursue a BAS degree to become a teacher. My advisor, Kali Dunlap, played a crucial role in helping me decide what would be the best course of action for me. She was very attentive to my concerns and was always available to answer any questions I had, whether by email or phone. I enjoyed getting quick responses every time I had a question.

Now that I am graduating with my BAS, I am thrilled to share that I have been accepted into Mississippi State's graduate school to pursue a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Special Education. I could not be happier with the way things have turned out for me.
